The sliming of the Vets continues

Remember a couple of days ago I pointed out that the Democrats were going to fire up the Slime Machine to discredit the Swift Boat Vets? It seems that they have claimed their first victim:
Oregon City - The Clackamas County Prosecutor who appeared in an ad against John Kerry has been suspended from his job, but not for speaking out. Al French has been the target of local protests after his appearance in a political ad questioning the Democratic candidate's war record.
On Thursday he was placed on leave by the Clackamas County District Attorney's office. It wasn't for his statements against Kerry, but for lying about an extra-marital affair. Reports say French misled his former boss ten years ago to avoid getting fired.

And just where did this information suddenly come from? In my opinion, this may backfire on Kerry big time. People remember all the dirt that the Clintons unleashed on their detractors during the Monica mess and many were put off by it. If all the Kerry campaign can do is dig up old dirt like this instead of addressing the claims of the vets, it will end up turning off the voters who had quite enough of this sort of thing during the 90's.

Besides, why should the democrats have a problem with this? After all, it's just lying about sex. A private matter between French and his wife. They are just avoiding the issues with a cheap sex scandal. It's a conspiracy, for anyone who wants to look into it and write about it...a vast...

Well, you know the rest.
